Save Muings Lace School for the Community - from ERRIS, Co Mayo ::
Posted by: IIB TEAM on Mar 17, 2006 - 12:30 PM
History, Migration And Identity My name is Helen Moreau and I am the chairperson of FIS NA MUINGI-IORRAS, we are a small but very dedicated and hardworking committee.

Our objectives are to acquire the old Muings Lace School from Udaras na gaeltachta for the Erris community, to repair, adapt and extend the premises for the purposes of a small folk museum, heritage and community centre.

In many respects our project is extremely important to Erris. You can read about our project and the Lace School at www.laceschool.com

Very excellent project and hugely interesting website - anybody interested in Irish history and traditions should take a look. - IIB Team
